          First Super Constellation delivered to TWA, named "The United States" over New York Harbor  in 1955 in 1955
       
LLockheed L-1049 Super Constellation. TWA placed ten Super Constellation fo this type into transcontinental    service in the fall of 1952. The aircraft shown, named the " Star of Tipperary " served TWA for eleven years,        until its retirement in 1963.
